Conway, AR -Â The Hendrix College women's basketball team returned to the hardwood this afternoon as they matched up with Rhodes.
Hendrix (8-3), entered the game coming off of a win but unfortunately would come out to a slow start, trailing 19-8 at the end of the first quarter.
Hendrix's offense seemed to wake up in the second stanza as they outscored Rhodes in the quarter (19-16), but still had a sizable deficit heading into the halftime break.
Heather Prowse of Hendrix led at the half with ten points.
Vinessa Daniel also led Hendrix in the first half with six points.
Rhodes maintained their cushion at the conclusion of the third quarter, outscoring Hendrix (24-6) in the period to hold a commanding 26-point (59-33) lead heading into the final period.
Hendrix would play hard in the fourth quarter, outscoring Rhodes 16-8. They would ultimately fall though 67-49 to RC.
Prowse finished with ten points and eleven rebounds.
Amber Turner had six points and a rebound. Daniel finished with six points and
Maddie Anderson had a six points as well.
Kessie Jenkins also added six points.
The loss drops Hendrix to (8-4, 0-1 SAA).
Hendrix returns to action this Friday, as they host Oglethorpe in an SAA match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
