SHREVEPORT, La. - After sophomore guard
Vinessa Daniel dropped 38 points on the Ladies over a week ago to set a new program scoring record, Hendrix looked for its second win over Centenary (La.) in nine days when the Warriors traveled south to Shreveport, La. for another regular season meeting. Hendrix maintained a 33-19 lead at the break and finished with 34 second half points. Daniel, who scored as many points single-handedly than the Ladies did in the first period with six, finished with a team-high 24 points en route to a 67-54 victory and her second double-double of the season. Hendrix improves to 3-1 on the year while the Ladies fall to 0-5.

TURNING POINT
Leading by as many as 24 points midway through the third quarter, Centenary carved up a quick 17-2 run over the next five-plus minutes to get within seven points with just over a minute to play. Daniel converted an and-one with 37 seconds left and Hendrix got a defensive stop at the close of the third quarter to gain some momentum heading into the fourth quarter.
OF NOTE
- Hendrix shot an even 40.0% (26-of-65) from the floor and 5-for-16 (31.3%) from three-pointers. Meanwhile, the Ladies were just 19-for-59 (32.2%) from field goals and 25.8% (8-of-31) from deep.
- After being held scoreless in two games this season, freshman guard
Serena Pruitt ended up with a career-best after scoring the first 11 points of her young career; also recorded five rebounds and four steals in 34 minutes of work.

Jayla King finished with a career-high 15 points on 6-of-8 (75.0%) from the floor with five boards and three assists in 27 minutes of action.
- The Warriors dominated the paint from start to finish; outscoring the Ladies 34-18 in the paint and 17-8 in second-chance points.
- As a unit, Hendrix pulled down a season-high 45 rebounds while also bettering the season record for steals after registering 11 Sunday.
- In addition to her 22-point performance, Daniel recorded her second double-double of her young career after pulling down 10 rebounds as well. - The Mountain Home, Ark. native also had a game-high five assists and four steals in the win.
- After holding Centenary scoreless for over four minutes of the game, Hendrix scored the first four points of the contest and would lead for over 38 1/2 minutes of the 40 minutes of action Sunday.
