Conway, AR - The Hendrix Warriors softball team, fresh off a win in their second game of the doubleheader they played the day before, prepared to take on Birmingham Southern College in the final game of this SAA series.

Unfortunately, Hendrix was defeated 10-2.

Birmingham Southern jumped out to an early 8-0 advantage after four innings at-bat.

Hendrix stormed  back in the bottom half of the fifth inning with two runs to cut their defect to 8-2. 

Neither team would concoct a response in the sixth inning. It would be the seventh inning that we would find more run-scoring plays. This one favored Birmingham Southern again, and it proved to be the end of HC as they fell 10-2.

The SAA Conference loss dropped the Warriors to 7-8, 2-4 SAA on the season. 

Leading the offense for Hendrix were the likes of Jordan Mallard (3 for 3, one run), Aubrey Brink (1 for 3, one run, one RBI) and Laura Mortan (1 for 4, one RBI). 

HC will next head to Florida to compete in the Spring Games.
