Conway, AR - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team put another game in the win column with a 19-1 victory over Oglethorpe on Friday night. The Warriors owe their victory to a good start as they jumped out to a quick 2-1 lead after the first quarter.
The first goal came when
Max Lynch scored just under two minutes into the game. After, the Warriors continued their pressure which lead to more goals. Four additional Warriors players found the back of the net in the first half while
Elias Ramos assisted on two of those six goals.
The Warriors rode the momentum of the first half as they dominated the second. The Warriors would continue to add to their lead in the second half as they would outscore Oglethorpe 5-0 in the third quarter and 8-0 as well in the fourth quarter.
Looking at the stats, things were far from even between both teams. Hendrix led in shots 74-18 and also led Oglethorpe in shots on goal 34-8.Â
Leading the Warriors was
Drew Scanlan who scored four goals and added two assists while
Joshua Dieckmann finished with two goals and one assist. There were seven other Hendrix players who tallied goals as well. The Warriors will next face Berry in another SAA conference match-up on Sunday. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
