Conway, AR - The Hendrix College women's lacrosse team hosted a non-conference match-up on Friday afternoon with a chance to get their first win of the season over Southwestern (TX). The Warriors did just that, scoring the game's first two goals en route to a 21-19 victory.

Southwestern tried to answer in the second but could not pull ahead of HC.Â
Hill (2), Watanabe (1),
Hannah Burroughs (1), Umble (1),
Morgan Dasch (1), and Fraizer (1) all tallied goals in the second half to give HC the 21-19 victory.
The Warriors had a number of outstanding individual performances including five goals from Fraizer, four from Umble and Hill, and three by Watanabe. Fraizer led the team with four ground balls while Heeb and freshman
Maddie Lancaster each collected three.

Alexis Truitt made nine saves, earning her first win of the season in net.
The win improved the Warriors to 1-1 overall as they will take on Berry Sunday.
