Memphis, TN - The Hendrix College men's lacrosse team hit the road in a SAA Conference match-up with a visit to the Rhodes College Lynx on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors played tough but strong offense from the Lynx earned Rhodes the 22-6 win.
Rhodes got things off to a strong start, netting eight unanswered goals in the first quarter to put themselves up 8-0.
Four more Lynx goals to start the second quarter earned Rhodes a 12 goal lead.
It was
Kip VanHoose who would net goal number one for HC to bring the score to 12-1. Unfortunately for the Warriors the Lynx went on to score the next goal to take the 13-1 lead.
Max Lynch added a goal right before halftime and senior
Garrett Brown scored a goal of his own at the 11:19 mark of the third quarter. HC would score three more goals in the game but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit as Rhodes came away with a 22-6 win.
Freshman
Patrick Adamo made seven saves in the effort as Hendrix fell to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in SAA play. The Warriors will be back in action on Friday, April 6 when they travel to Danville, KY to take on the Colonels of Centre College.
