Danville, KY - The Hendrix College Softball team took on Centre Sunday afternoon in a SAA Conference match-up. The Colonels took the game winning game 5-2.

An error in the second led to an unearned Warrior run to put HC up 1-0. Hendrix would score one more run in the top of the seventh but it would be to late as Centre would take the 5-2 victory.

Junior Savannah Draud was on the mound for HC, striking out two over six innings. She walked just three in the complete game effort.

While she was shining for the Warriors, fellow teammates Stephanie Combs, Karli Sewell, Laura Mortan, Jordan Mallard, and Emily Stockalper (1) were the only Warriors to get hits off in the game.

The loss dropped Hendrix to 4-6 overall and 1-2 in SAA conference play.

They now look forward to a date with Ozarks at home on Wednesday, March 7. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
