Danville, KY - A day after a big SAA conference win at Oglethorpe the Warriors women's lacrosse team was back at it against the Colonels of Centre College. A slow start hampered the Warriors and a second half push fell short as Hendrix fell to Centre 16-3.

The Warriors offense, which has been getting stronger game by game, was halted in the opening 30 minutes. The Warriors would score one goal during the first half.

While Hendrix's offense went quite the Colonels did not, scoring eleven goals in the opening frame and taking a 11-1 lead into halftime.

The second half played host to the Warriors comeback hopes and helping that was a goal from senior Bridget Umble as she got Hendrix on the board in the second half at the 8:18 mark. Senior Shelby Hill would net the next goal to make it a 14-3 game. This would be the last goal for HC however as they would fall to Centre 16-3.

The Colonels out shot Hendrix 33-13 and had 17 more shots on goal than the Warriors as well. Centre also scooped up more ground balls holding a 32-17 edge.

The loss drops Hendrix to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in SAA conference play as the Warriors will be back in action on Friday, April 20 when compete in the opening round of the SAA Conference Tournament.
