SHERMAN, Texas - Following two impressive victories in the opening day of the Austin College Invitational on Friday, Hendrix cruised to two more straight-set wins on Saturday morning to improve to 4-0 on the young season and to sweep the entire 2018 Austin College Invitational field. The Warriors took down the Crusaders (25-13, 25-19, 25-15) and the Ladies (25-22, 25-19, 25-15) on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Match 1
- An early kill by senior Brianna Kelly sets the tone of the first set, preparing the team for a 25-13 set victory.
- Back-to-back service aces by junior Lauren Dwyer and a final kill by sophomore Mallory Carty claim the second set for Hendrix.
- Carty recorded back-to-back kills in the third set to give Hendrix the 9-6 edge and ultimately the straight-set victory.
- Freshman Claire Smith registered a game-best 24 assists.
- Dwyer finished with five aces in the match.
Match 2
- Trailing 2-4 in the opening set, Hendrix managed a quick 5-0 run to take a commanding lead in this match highlighted by kills from freshman Allison Long and Kelly.
- Back-to-back block assists from freshman Sadie Walker and Long helped Hendrix obtain a 11-5 edge in the second set.
- A monster kill from Carty gave the Warriors the 17-10 lead and forced a Ladies timeout.
- After winning the opening two sets of the match, Hendrix recorded 15 kills out of the 25 points in the third, and final, set. Carty sealed the victory for Hendrix with yet another monster kill.

UP NEXT
After opening up with its first four games on the road, the Warriors return back to Conway for a five-game home stand. The first four of those matches will be in the Hendrix Warrior Classic which begins Sept. 7. Hendrix takes on Central Baptist College in the opening match at 5 p.m.
