Second Half Comeback Not Enough as Hendrix Falls to Owls in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Playing its second game in less than 24 hours, Hendrix looked for its second-straight win in as many days with a non-conference matchup against Mississippi University for Women in the opening match of four total games in the 2018 Volgas Memorial Tournament. Down 2-0 at the break, the Warriors' one goal in the second half was not enough as Hendrix fell 2-1 to the Owls to fall to 3-3-0 on the season.

WHAT WAS SAID
"

It was a disappointing but fair result today against MUW," Head Coach Matt Kern said. "thought they were the better team for the the first 30 minutes and we were not sharp with our collective defending. We did a decent job in the second half and had the better of possession and chances, but our speed of play in the middle and final thirds was not fast enough. We will recover and get ready for Webster on Sunday."

UP NEXT
Hendrix will remain in Memphis for the weekend but will enjoy a day off. The Warriors are set to play Webster Sunday at 12 p.m. in the last game of the tournament for the Orange & Black.
