JACKSON, Miss. - After an impressive 3-1 victory against the Ecclesia Royals, the Warriors hit the road for another Saturday Southern Athletic Association road contest with a meeting against Millsaps. Knotted up at 1-all at the half, the Majors ended up recording a goal in the first period of overtime to walk away with a 2-1 victory in Jackson, Miss. Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman
Ricky Barrientos recorded his team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 31st minute to tie the game up at 1-1 after Millsaps striked first 31 seconds earlier.Â
- The Majors ended the game less than a minute into overtime; 54 seconds to be exact; taking down Hendrix 2-1.
- Millsaps outshot Hendrix 23-8 including 9-2 from shots on goal.
- After landing seven saves, all coming from sophomore
Josh Neuman, the Warriors converted on just four corner kicks compared to the Majors' 16.
WHAT WAS SAID
"Tough lesson for us on the road against a very athletic and offensive minded Millsaps team," stated Coach
Matt Kern. "The game was end to end, and we although we had the chances to win the match, Millsaps was the better side over the 91 minutes. Our defensive transition is improving but we must continue to mentally focus for each and every moment of the match. We will look to rebound tomorrow against MUW."

Hendrix remains in Mississippi with a revenge contest against Mississippi University for Women looming Sunday at 12 p.m. The Warriors fell to MUW 2-1 in the Rhodes Tournament Sept. 14.
