Hagan Griffith helped the Warriors notch their second win of the season and first shutout after a 2-0 victory Thursday evening against University of the Ozarks in what was Hendrix's first true road match of the 2018 season. The victory by Hendrix over the Eagles was its 11th-straight win; last non-victory performance coming Sept. 12, 2007 after a 1-1 tie in Conway.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After going scoreless for over 30 minutes to begin the match, Cannon puts a rebound into the net for her first goal of the season and to give Hendrix an 1-0 lead.
- Taking a 1-0 lead into the break, Griffith added another goal to her 2018 campaign at the 73:32 mark to pretty much seal the game
- Griffith recorded a team-best eight shots and three shots on goal.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Claire Lewis improves to 2-0-0 at the net for the Warriors
- The road shutout victory was the first one since Sept. 15, 2017 (MacMurray; 7-0).
WHAT WAS SAID
"I feel like we played well today," stated head man
Jeff Trimble. "Ozarks is a good team that is well coached. We created a lot of good opportunities but didn't finish them. I thought both goalkeepers played well and I was proud of how hard we worked."
UP NEXT
After getting its first road game of the season under its belt, the Warriors return to Warrior Soccer Field Sunday with a meeting against Westminster College (Mo.). Kick-off between the Warriors and Blue Jays is set for 12 p.m.
