Kessie Jenkins, the Lynx carved up a 15-6 run to take command of the entire game en route to Rhodes' 60-46 victory over the Warriors. Sophomore guard
Vinessa Daniel logged a season-high 10 boards in just 27 minutes of work against the Lynx. Hendrix falls to 7-5 on the season and 0-1 in SAA play while Rhodes improves to 8-4 and holds a 1-0 mark in conference play.

TURNING POINT
After shooting just over 35% from the floor in the opening 10 minutes of action, Rhodes was able to record a 7-for-10 (70%) mark from the field in the first period and limit Hendrix to scoring just eight points in the second period as Rhodes took a 34-24 lead into the locker room at the half.
OF NOTE
- Trailing 22-14 with five ticks left in the opening period, Daniel went coast-to-coast for the layup as the buzzer sounded; her first points of the contest.
- After Rhodes scored the opening seven points of the second quarter, freshman guard
Macy Moody connected from deep for her second three-pointer on the night but the Warriors found themselves down 29-19 with 6:40 until halftime.
- Both teams combined to its last 13 total shot attempts to end the first half; no points scored in the last 4:15 of the second period.
- A four-plus minute scoring drought helped Rhodes maintain a 13-point lead before freshman guard
Serena Pruitt drained a free throw to pull Hendrix with 12. Moments later, freshman forward
Jayla King connected from deep to bring the Warriors within nine with under four minutes left in the third.
- With 34 seconds left in the third frame, King hit from deep again as the Warriors trailed by seven with 10 minutes of action left in regulation.
- Rhodes scored 10 of its 30 total points in the paint in the fourth quarter alone and held Hendrix to just 20% (1-for-5) from deep in the fourth frame as Rhodes held on to a 60-46 conference-opening victory.
- King tallied an 11-point performance on 4-for-11 from the floor including 3-of-8 from deep while Daniel, Jenkins and Moody added eight points apiece and combined for 17 rebounds between the three.
- Despite shooting just over 28% from the floor for the game, the Warriors (6-for-26; 23.1%) shot better than Rhodes (4-for-18; 22.2%) Wednesday afternoon.
- After shooting 4-for-11 from the floor Wednesday, it is the eighth consecutive game that King has shot better than 36% from the floor in a game; she has shot 50% or better from the floor in seven of last eight games.
- After starting an impressive 3-0 on the road to start the season, Hendrix has now dropped three road contests in a row.
WHO'S NEXT
With its first SAA game under its belt on the 2018-19 season, the Warriors remain on the road, looking to pick up its first conference victory of the season with a pivotal showdown Friday from Sewanee, Tenn. The Warriors battle the Tigers at 6 p.m.
