Seth Stanley logged a team-high 13 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor and sophomore guard
Kam Brasfield added 10 points and six rebounds against the Colonels. This game serves as the third game in the last five days for Hendrix to open up Southern Athletic Association play.

TURNING POINT
With the Warriors leading by five with 13:17 to go, Centre embarked on an 18-4 run over the next six-plus minutes to take a nine-point advantage with 7:54 to play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Six different Warrior players scored each of the first six buckets for the Warriors as Hendrix led 13-10 with 10:29 left in the opening frame.
- Fitch's layup put Hendrix up five with 8:08 until half but a 5-0 Centre run tied the game up at 17-all with under six minutes left.
- Brasfield put Hendrix up five again with a nice layup, but a 7-2 run to end the half sent both teams into its respective locker rooms tied at 26 apiece.
- Stanley would nail two three-point makes in the opening 1:04 of the second half as Hendrix held the slim 32-29 lead with under 19 minutes to go.
- Leading by 5, an 18-4 lead gave Centre the nine-point edge with under eight minutes to play.
- The Warriors would get within five points with 5:39 to go but Centre held a double-digit advantage for the final 3:54 as Centre defeated Hendrix 72-56.
OF NOTE
- 11 of Stanley's team-best 13 points came in the final 20 minutes of action.
- For the third-straight game, Stanley has reached double-digits in scoring; has made at least one three-pointer in all but two games this season also.
- Senior guard
Preston Smith added seven points, three rebounds and a pair of assists against the Colonels Sunday.
- Freshman forward
Jake Riding and freshman
Sean Coman combined for 11 points and four boards.
- Hendrix shot 20-of-55 (36.4%) from the floor while maintaining a 7-of-25 mark from beyond-the-arc and a 9-of-17 mark from the free throw line while Centre shot 24-of-50 (48.0%) from the field, 8-of-24 from downtown and 16-for-20 at the charity stripe.
- The Warriors outscored Centre 26-24 and also held a 9-1 second chance points margin in favor of the road team.
WHO'S NEXT
Now with its first three conference games under its belt, Hendrix returns home to face Millsaps as part of the Warriors' home SAA opener. Hendrix and the Majors are set for a 8 p.m. tip-off Friday night inside Grove Gymnasium.
