MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Looking to make a late push in the final game of the 2019 regular season, the Warriors traveled to Memphis, Tenn. Sunday for a showdown against rival Rhodes after the match was postponed Saturday due to excessive rainfall. Hendrix recorded eight shots on the day to Rhodes; 18 as the Warriors fell 3-0 Sunday. Hendrix drops to 7-7-5 on the season with a 2-4-1 mark in the Southern Athletic Association while Rhodes improves to 11-5 on the season with a 5-2 mark in conference play. Hendrix will be awarded the no. 6 seed in the conference tournament which begins next Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rhodes scored three times in the first 40 minutes to record the 3-0 win over Hendrix.
- Hagan Griffith finished with three shots and one shot on goal Sunday while Mary Helen VanHoy did the exact same.
- Kaitlyn Gilkey carded the lone two other shots for the Warriors and also accounted for one shot on goal versus the Lynx.
- Avery Jensen played all 90 minutes in goal for Hendrix in her second collegiate start; recording seven saves on the day.
- Hendrix will be awarded the no. 6 seed in the 2019 SAA Championships.

WHAT WAS SAID
"We struggled to defend at times in the first half," said head coach Jeff Trimble. :I was proud of our effort in the second half; we defended better and played better soccer."

UP NEXT
The Warriors earn the no. 6 seed in the 2019 SAA standings and will travel to Sewanee, Tenn. to battle the no. 3 seeded Sewanee Tigers Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
