Box Score CONWAY, Ark. - After playing its first four official games on the road, Hendrix came home to Conway for its home opener against Austin College Saturday afternoon. Hendrix enjoyed a couple leads on the day but the Roos pulled away midway through the first period as AC led 18-11 after the first quarter. The Roos ultimately won 95-53 Saturday inside Grove Gymnasium.
Anissa Gutierrez recorded 13 points in her home debut while
Kessie Jenkins nearly registered a double-double with 10 points and nine boards. Hendrix drops to 2-2 on the year while AC improves to 2-0.

Serena Pruitt less than five seconds into the game gave Hendrix the early 2-0 lead. Jenkins picked up the assist after deflecting the ball on the initial tip at half court.
- Gutierrez nailed her first three pointer attempt inside Grove Gymnasium two minutes into the game; giving Hendrix a 5-2 cushion.
- A layup by
Caroline Wendt just over three minutes into the game tied the game up at seven but Austin College ended the quarter on an 11-4 run to take an 18-11 lead after one quarter of play.
- Jenkins scored six of her 10 points in the second frame as the Warriors trailed 42-24 at the break.
- Hendrix shot 1-for-6 (16.7 percent) from deep in the final two periods as the Warriors fell 95-53.
BOX SCORE NOTABLE
- Wendt tallied nine points on 3-of-7 shooting from the floor while Pruitt and
Cassidy Salyer added five apiece.
- Pruitt also collected eight rebounds and an assist.

Ali Isbell and Salyer dished out two assists against the Roos Saturday as well.
- Hendrix recorded six second chance points and 12 points off the bench while also registering 20 points in the paint and six fast break points.
