Box Score MARSHALL, Texas - For the third time in six games, Hendrix traveled to Texas for a non-conference contest as the Warriors battled the East Texas Baptist University Tigers, in search of its first win against ETBU since 1989. A slow start allowed ETBU to jump out to a 37-17 lead late in the first half as the Tigers claimed the 81-68 victory Tuesday night in Marshall, Texas.
Sean Coman produced a game-high 24 points on 8-of-22 shooting in 33 minutes. One day after picking up his first-ever Southern Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolade,
Seth Stanley recorded 20 points and five rebounds in all 40 minutes of action. Hendrix drops to 2-4 on the year while ETBU improves to 4-1.

OF NOTE
- Coman nailed a free throw 36 seconds into the game to put Hendrix up, 1-0, early but a 16-0 ETBU run gave the home team the 18-3 advantage nearly midway through the opening half.
- Trailing by 22 points with five minutes to go in the first half,
Jacob Link made a pair of free throws and Stanley converted an old fashioned and-one play. Stanley then drained a three-pointer and Coman nailed another free throw to pull within 13, 37-26, with 1:16 to go in the half.
- After trailing 39-24 at the break, ETBU built up another 23-point lead with 13:16 to go but back-to-back layups by Stanley and
Alex Conrad made it a 19-point game with 11:01 to go.
- With 5:43 to go and trailing by 21, Coman and Stanley quickly scored five straight points before Coman drilled one of his four three-pointers on the day to make it a 15-point deficit with 3:18 to go.
- At ETBU scored on a layup, Coman drilled two three-pointers within a minute but the Tigers made five of its six free throws down the stretch as ETBU managed to record the 81-68 victory

- While Coman and Stanley were the only Warriors to reach double-digit scoring performances, Conrad added seven points and a team-high six rebounds off the bench in 16 minutes.

Carl Fitch recorded six points, four blocks and four rebounds in 26 minutes of work while shooting 3-of-4 from the floor.
- Link added four points and four rebounds while
Jack Eaton accounted for four points, three rebounds and a team-best three assists in his season debut.
- Coman made three of his four trifectas in the final 3:18 of regulation while him and Stanley each shot 4-of-6 from the charity stripe.
- Hendrix shot 22-of-63 (34.9 percent) from the floor and 7-of-26 (26.9 percent) from deep while also making 17 free throws on 26 attempts (65.4 percent).
