Box Score BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - For the seventh consecutive year, Hendrix found themselves playing in the semifinals of the SAA Volleyball Championships. After an impressive five-set win over Centre on Friday, the Warriors battled no. 2 seed Berry from Birmingham, Ala. Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the Vikings would defeat Hendrix in straight sets Saturday evening, thus ending Hendrix's 2019 campaign. Hendrix concludes the 2019 season with a 19-7 mark on the year.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tied at 19 in the opening set, Berry scored the next four points to hold a 23-19 advantage as the Vikings took the set, 25-21.
- Hendrix held the 4-1 lead in the second frame but a quick 3-0 Berry run tied the game up at four.
- Later in the set trailing 25-24, Hendrix avoided the match point as Dwyer recorded a kill. Hendrix had match point, at 26-25, but the Vikings scored the next three points to take the second set, 28-26.
- Early in the third set, a kill from Sadie Walker and a service ace from Molly Kingston brought Hendrix within two, 9-7 but an 8-0 Berry run gave the Vikings the 17-7 edge.
- Berry went on to win four of the final five points as the Warriors fell in three sets (21-25, 26-28, 16-25).
- Maddie Tovar finished with 10 kills and three digs while hitting .053 while Lauren Dwyer and Sadie Walker combined for 17 kills and 20 digs.
- Jeanette McGrath produced 20 digs while Claire Smith added 10 more.
- Smith also accounted for a team-high 19 assists while Sesalie Satterwhite added 12.
- Mallory Carty recorded a team-best four blocks Saturday.
- Hendrix finished the day hitting .081 against the Vikings.
