CONWAY, Ark. – Looking to avoid the regular season sweep by Centre (19-3, 10-1 SAA), Hendrix (9-13, 5-6 SAA) found themselves down by seven, 29-22, at the intermission. The Warriors managed to shoot just 2-of-7 from the free throw line in the final 20 minutes of action with six turnovers as the Colonels held on for the 62-49 victory inside Grove Gymnasium Sunday in Conway.

TURNING POINT
A 15-0 run almost midway through the opening half by Centre allowed for a 21-4 Colonel lead with 7:22 until halftime.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman guard
Sean Coman nailed two free throws early in the game to put the Warriors on top, 2-0 but a layup by junior guard
Jacob Link would be the next two lone points the Warriors scored for the next seven-plus minutes.
- Senior guard
Preston Smith managed to get to the free throw line and nail two free throws to bring Hendrix within 15, 21-6, with 6:51 left in the first half.
- A mid-range jumper by freshman forward
Seth Stanley under a minute left in the first half brought Hendrix within seven, 29-22, as the Warriors found themselves with a seven-point deficit after one half.
- A quick 9-0 run out of the second half by Centre gave the Colonels a 14-point cushion but a trifecta make by Stanley brought the Warriors deficit to 11 with 14:58 to go.
- Centre led by 24 with 3:01 to go but Hendrix scored 13 of the final 15 points near the end. Colonels recorded a 62-49 victory Sunday afternoon.
OF NOTE
- For the seventh time in Hendrix's last nine games, Stanley led the team in scoring after producing 10 points against Centre.
- Sophomore guard
Trey Rouse tallied nine points; seven of which came in the final 20 minutes of play
- Smith finished with seven points and collected a pair of rebounds.
- Sophomore
Damecko Johnson tallied five points; all of which came in the final three minutes while Link accounted for five points as well.
- The Warriors finished the day shooting 18-for-49 from the floor, 7-for-22 from deep and 6-for-13 at the charity stripe while Centre shot 24-of-53 from the floor, 5-for-20 from deep and 9-for-13 at the free throw line.

With just one game left on its schedule, Hendrix hits the road for two SAA games. First up, the Warriors look to avoid the regular season sweep against the Millsaps Majors. Tip-off from Jackson, Miss. is set for 6 p.m.
