ROME, Ga. - After making history and sitting atop Hendrix's record books for most career goals scored as a Warrior a couple of nights ago,
Morgan Dasch accounted for nine more goals Saturday afternoon as Hendrix defeated the Berry Vikings from Rome, Ga., 23-11, to drop the Vikings to a 1-10 mark and 0-3 in the Southern Athletic Association while Hendrix improves to above .500 for the second time this season with a 6-5 overall mark including a 2-2 record in SAA play. In the 12-goal victory and a game after carving up a career-best six goals,
Hannah Burroughs added for five more against the Vikings Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Alison Watanabe scored the first goal before Burroughs scored the next two as Hendrix enjoyed an early 3-0 lead at Berry.
- After a Berry score, Dasch netted her first next before
Talitha Joustra scored next for Hendrix on her first collegiate goal before Burroughs recorded another one.
- Leading 6-3 with 15:57 left, the Warriors landed a 4-0 run to take full command of the game; two goals registered by Dasch (one being a man-up goal), one by Burroughs and another one from Watanabe.
- Hendrix tacked on two more goals in the first half, both by
Morgan Dasch, as the Warriors enjoyed a 12-5 lead at the break.
- Dasch and Joustra scored the first two goals of the second half as Hendrix outscored Berry 11-6 in the final 30 minutes of play as Hendrix obtained the 23-11 win.
OF NOTE:
- Dasch finished with a game-high nine goals, and seven assists Saturday while collecting a team-high five ground balls and causing a team-best three turnovers while winning nine draw controls..
- Burroughs added five goals and four assists for a career-high nine points in the big SAA road victory.
- Watanabe accounted for four scores and four assists for eight points in the win; also picked up four ground balls and forced a turnover.

Calah Justice added three scored Saturday as well while
Laycee Carpenter picked up her first collegaite ground ball.
- In goal,
Alexis Truitt carved up nine saves in all 60 minutes Saturday for Hendrix while picking up the victory.
- With just two SAA games left in the regular season, Hendrix currently sits in fourth place in the conference standings, half a game up on Birmingham-Southern.

WHO'S NEXT:
Hendrix will enjoy a couple of weeks off before returning back to Conway one final time with its final home game set Apr. 6 against the Sewanee Tigers from Warrior Field at 12 p.m in the next-to-last game of the 2019 regular season.
