CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix men's lacrosse held a 1-0 lead Friday night but 67 shots by the Sewanee Tigers on the day allowed the Tigers to defeat the Warriors 19-12 on Senior Day. Sewanee outscored Hendrix 12-5 in the opening 30 minutes of play en route to its victory. With the loss, Hendrix falls to 5-8 on the season with a 1-4 mark in Southern Athletic Association play while Sewanee improves to 9-5 on the year with a 4-1 mark in conference competition.
Spencer Dorfneilsen and
Max Lynch both carded hat tricks for the Warriors on Friday.

Taylor Noack,
Tristan Lovelace and
Drew Scanlan were the eight seniors playing in their next-to-last home game and were honored prior to the game beginning.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Just over five minutes into the game, Cramer scored on one of Hendrix's first shots of the day to put the Warriors on top 1-0 with 9:17 left in the first quarter.
- Following a 2-0 Tiger run, Noack, the goalie, scored from 60-yards out on a full-field heave that went past the Sewanee keeper; a play that could potentially make Sportscenter's Top 10 Plays televised on ESPN each day/night.
- Trailing by a goal late in the first period,
Max Lynch logged his first score of the day to tie it up at 3-all with two minutes to go in the first frame.
- A 10-2 run by the Tigers allowed for a 13-5 lead for Sewanee early in the third period.
- Dorfneilsen and Lynch tacked on back-to-back goals for Hendrix midway through the third quarter before Sewanee scored the next four to take a 10-goal lead with 12 minutes to play.
- The Warriors struck for five goals in the final frame but Sewanee came away with the 19-12 victory.
OF NOTE:
- In addition to Dorfneilsen and Lynch's three-goal performances,
Jack Gorman added a pair of goals against the Tigers.
- Scanlan, Cramer and
Jackson Schneider and Noack added one goal for the Warriors Friday.
- Dachille won 11 face-offs in 26 tries for Hendrix while
Elias Ramos won three.
- Noack registered 19 saves in all 60 minutes of action in goal for Hendrix.
- Dachille picked up a team-high six ground balls while
Patrick Dellinger picked up four.
- With the loss, Hendrix is currently in sixth-place in the 2019 men's lacrosse SAA standings.
