CONWAY, Ark. - In search of its first Southern Athletic Association win on the season, Hendrix hosted the Sewanee Tigers Sunday afternoon inside Grove Gymnasium. Looking to avoid the regular season sweep, the Warriors shot over 45 percent from the floor and over 42 percent from deep but it was not quite enough as the Warriors fell to the Tigers, 65-53. With the loss, Hendrix falls to 2-18 on the season with an 0-9 mark in SAA play while the Sewanee Tigers improve to 8-12 on the season and 3-6 in conference games.
Anissa Gutierrez scored a team-high 14 points with three three-pointers while
Kessie Jenkins added 10.

- Gutierrez's layup 99 seconds into the game gave the Warriors the early 2-0 lead.
- A quick 5-0 Tiger run late in the opening quarter propelled the Tigers to the 18-15 lead after one.
- Sewanee scored the first eight points of the second period before
Rachel Woppman's three brought Hendrix within eight, 26-18 midway through the quarter. Hendrix trailed 38-25 at the break.
- Hendrix scored the first nine points of the third quarter and got within one point midway through the period after Gutierrez made a free throw but an 8-0 Tiger run put the road team up 59-41 with over a minute left in the third period. The Tigers held the 50-43 lead with 10 minutes left.
- The Warriors crawled within six, 54-48, with 7:56 to go but the Sewanee Tigers shot 6-of-13 (46.2 percent) and forced five Warrior turnovers in the fourth quarter as the Tigers picked up the 65-53 win in Conway.

- Woppman recorded a game-high eight rebounds and six points against the Tigers with one steal and an assist.

Ali Isbell pulled down six rebounds and shot 2-of-2 at the charity stripe; also recorded a team-high three assists against the Sewanee Tigers.
- The Warriors shot 17-of-41 (41.5 percent) from the floor, 7-of-21 (33.3 percent) from deep and 12-for-16 (75 percent) from the charity stripe Sunday.
