Anissa Gutierrez produced a career-high 17 points including 14 of them in the opening 20 minutes of the game but it wasn't quite enough as Hendrix fell to (RV) Oglethorpe Friday night, 80-52, in the first game of the new decade.
Cassidy Salyer tied her career-best after recording 14 points for the second consecutive game. With the loss, Hendrix falls to 2-11 on the year with an 0-2 mark in Southern Athletic Association play while the Stormy Petrels improve to 12-1 on the year with a 2-0 mark in conference contests.

- A three-pointer by Gutierrez nearly two minutes into the game gave Hendrix the early 3-0 lead but Oglethorpe quickly recorded a 10-0 run to hold a 25-10 lead after the first quarter.
- The Stormy Petrels shot 6-of-15 (40 percent) from the floor, 2-of-4 (50 percent) from deep and 3-for-6 (50 percent) from the charity stripe in the second quarter to hold a 42-26 lead at the break against Hendrix.

Zoe Mojaver scored all six of her points in the third period; recording half of Hendrix's total pointers in the frame as the Warriors trailed 62-38 with 10 minutes left.
- In the final quarter, Salyer scored seven of her 14 points in the frame but Oglethorpe outscored Hendrix, 18-14, as the home team prevailed over Hendrix, 80-52.

- Gutierrez shot 6-of-14 from the floor and 5-of-12 from deep; also pulled down three rebounds in 32 minutes of work; the five made three-pointers is a career-best as well.
- Salyer registered two rebounds and an assist in 29 minutes of action; shot 3-for-11 from deep and 5-for-6 at the free throw line.

Belle Neilson recorded a team-high six rebounds, each, while
Ali Isbell recorded seven points four rebounds, one steal and a game-high four assists.

Caroline Wendt pulled down five rebounds and scored a point in 20 minutes of work while
Kayla Soto nailed her second trifecta in her young career and registered one rebound in five minutes of work.
- Hendrix shot 14-for-54 (25.9 percent) from the field, 11-for-32 (34.4 percent) from deep and 13-for-21 (61.9 percent) from the charity stripe against Oglethorpe Friday.
- The 11 three-pointers made and the 32 three-pointers attempted are new season-high marks for Hendrix.
