CONWAY, Ark. - Friday night, Hendrix honored its four seniors and the late Kobe Bryant in a pivotal Southern Athletic Association contest in which the winner obtained sole possession of second place in the conference standings. A layup as the first half buzzer sounded gave Oglethorpe the 40-39 advantage at the break but 11 points and eight rebounds from
Alex Conrad in the second half, alone proved to be too much as Hendrix picked up the huge 75-71 win over Oglethorpe to take sole possession of second place in the conference standings. With the win, Hendrix improves to 13-8 on the season with a 7-3 mark in SAA play. Oglethorpe falls to 12-9 on the season with a 6-4 mark in conference games. Conrad finished with a career-best 20 rebounds and 15 points off the bench. The late Kobe Bryant was honored prior to tip-off with a 24-second moment of silence.
