Warriors Record Most Hits in a Game Since 2012, Split With MacMurray Saturday

CONWAY, Ark. - In need of a win, Hendrix hosted MacMurray Saturday in a doubleheader from Warrior Field. In game one, Hendrix turned a 2-1 deficit into an 11-2 stumping after plating five runs in the sixth frame and two in each of the seventh and eighth innings. The Warriors carved up a season-best 22 hits in the win over the Highlanders to improve to 4-8 following the game. In game two, Jack Hodgins tossed six innings of shutout baseball but did not pick up his first win of the year as the bullpen gave up three Highlander runs in the final three innings as MacMurray sneaked away with the 3-2 win in game two. Hendrix currently holds a 4-9 mark on the season. Justin Scott carded his first four-hit day in the first game while Ford Sherrington and Rail Gilliam put together three-hit performances in the 11-2 win.
