GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - After dropping its season opener Friday against No. 22 Texas Lutheran, the Warriors faced another nationally ranked opponent Saturday in No. 23 Concordia (Texas) from Grand Prairie, Texas in the 2020 Rusty Greer & Jackie Moore Collegiate Classic. Hendrix grabbed the 1-0 run in the second frame after Andrei Stoyanow laced a double to left center. The Tornadoes gained the lead in the fourth frame and scored six combined runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take a commanding 7-2 lead. Juan Pablo Leon nailed a two-RBI triple to left field, scoring Seth Tucker and Gerard Russo, but it was not enough as the Tornadoes came away with the 7-4 victory over Hendrix. Ethan Thomas picks up the loss, falling to 0-1 on the young season. Hendrix falls to 0-2 on the year while the Tornadoes improve to 2-0. Leon finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs.

Notables:
- Leon finished with half of Hendrix's total hits on the day against the Tornadoes.
- Tom Flisk, Stoyanow and Leon carded the three extra base hits for Hendrix.
- Evan Ingram made his season debut; tossing four strong innings. The senior struck out four and allowed just two hits and one run on 73 pitches while also producing seven ground outs and a fly out.
- Kyle Wellman saw action on the hill for the second consecutive day. The sophomore tossed 1.1 innings of work and allowed just one hit and struck out one Tornado as well.
- Colin Brown tossed the final two innings for Hendrix on the day; striking out four batters and allowed just one hit on 39 pitches.
