JACKSON, Miss. - Looking to get back to its winning ways after falling to BSC Friday, Hendrix battled the Millsaps Majors Sunday afternoon in Jackson, Miss. Unfortunately, a sluggish start allowed the Majors to enjoy a 15-1 lead less than five minutes into the game as Millsaps ended up recording the 97-88 win over Hendrix. With the loss, Hendrix drops to 14-10 on the season with an 8-5 clip in Southern Athletic Association play while Millsaps improves to 15-9 and a 7-6 mark in conference games.
Sean Coman produced a game-high 26 points on 5-of-8 shooting from deep against the Majors.

- After trailing 15-1 less than five minutes into the game, a jumper by
Rod Cummings II and a three-pointer by
Jacob Link gave the Warriors a little momentum; reducing the deficit to nine, 15-6, with 14:25 left in the half.
- Millsaps took a 20-point lead with less than seven minutes in the half; a three-pointer as first half expired from
Brooks Cartwright sent the Warriors into the locker room trailing 54-35.
- A quick layup by
Seth Stanley in the first 10 seconds of the second half gave Hendrix momentum again but a 6-1 Major run put Millsaps up 22, 60-38 with 17-plus minutes left.
- A 10-2 Major run midway through the second half put Millsaps up by 27 points with seven-plus minutes left.
- Coman nailed three free throws and also hit a three-pointer with less than a minute to go as Hendrix ended up falling 97-88 Sunday in Jackson, Miss.
- With the loss, Hendrix is still tied with Oglethorpe for second place in the conference standings.

- Coman (6'2") also pulled down a game-high eight rebounds; Hendrix recorded 29 rebounds as a collective unit Sunday and also shot 5-for-6 at the charity stripe.
- Stanley finished with 18 points and four assists while he also shot 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

- Hendrix shot 27-for-55 (49.1 percent) from the floor, 12-for-25 (48 percent) from deep and 22-for-31 (71 percent) from the free throw line.
- The 12 three-pointers made Sunday ties the season-high mark (Dec. 7, 2019; vs. Dallas).
