Hendrix Shuts Out No. 12 Rhodes Sunday in Series Finale

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - After falling to the Lynx twice, Hendrix faced No. 12 Rhodes on more time in the series finale Sunday from Memphis, Tenn. Jack Hodgins produced his best start of the year; tossing seven innings of shutout baseball en route to picking up his first victory of the season as Hendrix shut out the Lynx 3-0 Sunday. Ford Sherrington picked up two RBIs and two base hits while Evan Orren pitched the final two innings of work to pick up his first save of the year. The Warriors improve to 6-11 on the year with an 1-2 mark in Southern Athletic Association play.

Notables: 
- Sherrington carded an RBI single back to the pitcher in the sixth inning to put Hendrix up 1-0 and another RBI single in the eighth inning for an insurance run.
- Hodgins allowed just four hits in seven innings of work; also recorded five strikeouts and tossed 104 pitches in the outing.
- In his third appearance of the year, Orren struck out two batters and only needed 33 pitches to record the save.
- Tucker carved the lone extra-base hit in the game; a double in the first inning.
- Tucker went 2-for-3 at the plate while Flisk tallied two hits and accounted for the other RBI in the game.
- Adam Bland, Russo and Justin Scott recorded hits against Rhodes Sunday as well.
