In the first set, the Warriors erased an 8-5 deficit with four-straight points during which House and Walker each had two block assists and Walker also recorded a kill. Consecutive kills by House and Walker gave their team a 20-17 advantage, but the Panthers responded with a 3-0 run, as a Coats kill tied the affair. Birmingham-Southern scored eight of the final 10 points in the game. After a Fuller-Freeman kill tied the game at 22, back-to-back kills by Coats and block assists by Fields and Leah Nielsen ended the set.
Hendrix jumped out to a 3-0 upper hand in the second game, with a Presley service ace sandwiched between two Walker kills. The Panthers rallied to tie the set at four after a combination block by block by Fields and Kennedy Dickens. Five ties followed before the Warriors put together a 4-1 run to lead 16-13 courtesy of consecutive kills by Williams and Presley. A House-Pain combination block preceded a House-Walker block assist, making the score 19-15 in favor of the Orange and Black, but similar to the first game, Birmingham-Southern answered with a 3-0 spurt and 10 of the final 11 points in the set, as Coats scored three of her team's first four points of the stretch on kills.

Hendrix tied the game at 22 with a 3-0 run, culminating in Walker's 10th kill of the day, but a Fields kill on the next point put the defending SAA Tournament champion ahead for good, as Birmingham-Southern tallied three of the final four points.
