YUM Baits Postgame Show: Berry

CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix lost to Berry (Ga.), 42-21, on Saturday in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

Gavin Gray completed 14-of-25 passes for 156 yards for Berry (5-2, 3-1 SAA) and was sacked once. He also rushed eight times for 44 yards and a score.

Josh Rogers rushed 20 times 154 yards and three touchdowns for the Vikings. Jonahan Maisonave and Hunter Kautz each scored a rushing touchdown.

Deiondre Wilson caught five balls for 101 yards for Berry.

Connor Cheyunski recorded 11 tackles for the Vikings. Jake Weitkamp and Ben Prescott each had a sack. Khalil Walker and Cade Kennemore each made an interception.

Berry missed three extra point attempts.

Tajae White compiled 196 all-purpose yards for Hendrix (1-6, 0-4 SAA). He totaled 172 yards on six kickoff returns and 24 yards receiving on three catches.

Hunter Holden was 19-of-34 through the air for 160 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Buck Buchanan's squad. He was also sacked twice.

The Warriors' Anthony Johnson added 43 yards on 11 rushes and a touchdown. Rayfield Conley averaged 5.0 yards per carry on four attempts and scored a rushing touchdown.

Chris Childress made six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown for the Orange and Black. Christian Gadison caught two passes for 33 yards. Connor Beard hauled in five passes.

Dalton Lindelof totaled 10 tackles and a tackle for loss for Hendrix. Parker Turley had 1.0 sacks, 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. Carter Weakley and Joshua Cole each had a tackle for loss. Hunter Lawrence broke up two passes, while Weakley, Matthew Scirto and Eli Martin each had a pass defensed. Nathan Hahn had a partially blocked punt. Turley, Mitchell Johnson, Timothy Curran and Drake Bacchus each recorded a quarterback hurry.

Hendrix continues league play at No. 20/21 Trinity (Texas) on Oct. 30. Kickoff is set for noon CT.
