BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Hendrix defeated Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) in four sets by scores of 25-12, 24-26, 25-21 and 25-22 on Saturday in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action inside Bill Battle Coliseum. The Warriors improve to 8-3 in the series inside Bill Battle Coliseum, having won seven of their last eight in the venue.

Loren Payne delivered 12 kills and a 0.375 hitting percentage in the win. Sadie Walker added 11 kills. Camryn Presley pumped in nine kills and as many digs. Peyton Nance chipped in a career-high 19 digs. Claire Smith had 21 assists and eight digs, while Kyler Greenlee recorded 16 assists and nine digs. Grace House had five of the 12 block assists totaled by Hendrix (11-9, 8-5 SAA).

Gigi Fields netted 13 kills and a 0.345 kill percentage in the loss, while Kennedy Dickens had 10. Kate Powell came up with 13 digs.

Alyssa Coats and Ansleigh Dailey each had a double-double for Birmingham-Southern (14-8, 9-4 SAA). Coats recorded 11 kills and 16 digs. Dailey poured in 29 assists and 10 digs.

The Panthers were tagged with six reception errors.

The Warriors conclude league play Oct. 24 at Millsaps (Miss.) starting at noon CT.
