DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre (Ky.) defeated Hendrix in four sets Saturday in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action inside Alumni Gymnasium. The Colonels won by scores of 25-23, 18-25, 25-23 and 29-27, snapping the Warriors' nine-match win streak in the series.

Brooke Palmer totaled 14 kills for Centre (14-4, 5-3 SAA). Madi Barron had 18 digs, while June Padilla and Lily Hendricks came up with 12 and 10, respectively. Emily Gardner dished out 39 assists and had four of her team's 11 service aces.

Loren Payne tallied a season-high 14 kills for Hendrix (9-7, 6-3 SAA), while Sadie Walker chipped in 11. Claire Smith poured in a double-double with 11 digs and 17 assists. Camryn Presley narrowly missed a double-double after totaling nine kills and 11 digs to go along with three service aces. Sam Friedl netted a season-high 30 digs. Kyler Greenlee dished out 21 assists.

The Warriors travel to Sewanee (Tenn.) on Oct. 10 looking for their fourth-consecutive win in the series. First serve is set for noon CT.
