American Management Corporation Postgame Show: Austin

CONWAY, Ark. - Seth Stanley scored 36 points, as Hendrix, which is receiving votes for the Top 25, ran away from Austin (Texas), 94-76, on Sunday inside Grove Gymnasium. The Warriors won their second-straight game in the series.

Hendrix (3-0) is off to its best start since the 2007-08 campaign when the Warriors started 4-0.

The 94 points are the most for the Orange and Black since totaling 106 against Rhodes (Tenn.) on Feb. 15, 2020, when Stanley dropped a school and Southern Athletic Association record 61. Sunday marked the second-most points he has ever scored for Thad McCracken's program.

Stanley scored at least 30 for the second time in his career against the 'Roos. Sunday was the seventh time Stanley eclipsed the 30-point plateau, and the Warriors improved to 6-1 in those contests, having won six-consecutive.

Hendrix extended its win streak inside Grove Gymnasium to eight games. The Warriors are 19-3 on Garrison Court in the last three seasons.

Hendrix opened on a 10-2 run in the first 5:13 of the game, with the last six points coming in the paint, including a Carl Fitch two-handed flush in transition.

The Warriors closed the first half on an 11-1 run and led 51-33 at intermission.

Stanley tallied 15 points in the first 20 minutes on 6-of-9 shooting and made both of his attempts from beyond the arc. Tyler Deithloff had nine points and was perfect shooting from the field (3-of-3), 3-point range (1-of-1) and the free throw line (2-of-2). Alex Conrad was also perfect from the floor (3-of-3), doing all his damage in the paint, and had all nine of his points in the frame.

Hendrix blistered the nets in the first 20 minutes, shooting 61.3 percent (19-of-31) from the field and 40 percent (4-of-10) from beyond the arc.

Tristan Dick recorded a double-double in the first half with 13 points and 12 rebounds for Austin (0-1). He was 7-of-10 from the charity stripe. Chase Antosca shot 5-of-6 inside the arc to total 10 points.

The Warriors led by no less than 13 points in the second half before Hendrix responded with a 12-0 run in 2:12, with all four made baskets coming from distance. Stanley drained the first two 3s of the sequence.

Stanley's fifth-made 3, coming with 8:56 to play in the game, gave the Warriors their largest lead of the afternoon at 26, 77-51.

In the second half, Stanley poured in 21 points on a 7-of-11 clip from the field, including 3-of-4 mark from deep and 4-of-5 clip from the stripe.

Stanley finished 13-of-20 overall from the floor, 5-of-6 from 3-point land and 5-of-7 from the free throw line to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Deithloff tallied a career-high 13 points and was 5-of-6 from the field. Darvis Rasberry Jr. ended with 10 points.

Nine Warriors found the scoring column.

Conrad finished with seven rebounds and three blocks. Fitch and Rasberry Jr. each pulled down six boards.

Colton McMullin dished out a career-high five assists. Jackson Parks had eight points and four assists.

Hendrix shot 52.2 percent (35-of-67) overall, 47.4 percent (9-of-19) from 3, including 5-of-9 in the second half, and made 15 free throws. The Warriors totaled 19 assists on 35 made baskets, their most assists since putting up 21 against Rhodes on Feb. 16, 2019.

Hendrix outrebounded Austin, 47-43, and held edges in points off turnovers (22-17), in the paint (40-34) and on the fastbreak (12-10).

Antosca finished with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting overall. Dick ended with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

The 'Roos shot 37.1 percent (26-of-70) overall and 71.4 percent (20-of-28) from the stripe but just 18.2 percent (4-of-22) from distance.

Each team's bench scored 36 points.
