DALLAS - Reigning Southern Athletic Association Player of the Week
Seth Stanley scored 36 points for the second time this season, leading Hendrix, which is receiving votes for the Top 25, to a 91-73 win over Dallas (Texas) on Saturday inside the Maher Center. The Warriors won their second game over the Crusaders in 14 days and third-straight game in the series by at least 18 points.
Stanley was 10-of-18 from the field and a perfect 13-of-13 from the stripe.
Sean Coman narrowly missed a double-double after tallying 10 points and nine rebounds for Hendrix (5-1).
Carl Fitch had nine points and eight rebounds.
Darvis Rasberry Jr. had seven rebounds, and
Alex Conrad grabbed six.Â
The Warriors shot 50 percent in each half and 34-of-68 overall. Hendrix was 78.9 percent (15-of-19) from the stripe and held edges in rebounds (40-39), points off turnovers (12-10), bench points (27-11), points in the paint (44-24) and second chance points (17-14).
Jai Love ended with 24 points and was 7-of-8 from the free throw line to go along with nine assists for Dallas (2-3). Louis Christifano Jr. added 15 points and was 6-of-6 from the stripe. Jack Boyle grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Crusaders shot 38.2 percent (26-of-68) overall, 29.4 percent (5-of-17) from 3 and 76.2 percent (16-of-21) from the line.
The Warriors travel to Austin (Texas) on Sunday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT.
