RICHARDSON, Texas - UT Dallas (Texas) defeated Hendrix, 79-69, on Thursday inside the UTD Activity Center.
Donovan Souter ended with 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting, one of four Comets in double figures. James Curtis totaled 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including a 3-of-6 mark from deep. Hunter Stevens and Will Isaac each tallied 13 points.
UT Dallas (8-3) shot 50.9 percent (27-of-53) overall, 34.6 percent (9-of-26) from 3 and 72.7 percent (16-of-22) from the charity stripe.
Seth Stanley finished with a game-high 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting overall, a 4-of-8 mark from beyond the arc and 4-of-6 clip from the free throw line for the Warriors.
Jonathan Ryan had 14 points, going 5-of-6 inside the arc and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe, to go along with a game-high eight rebounds.
Tyler Deithloff recorded 10 points and was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
Alex Conrad came down with seven rebounds, while Deithloff had six.
Hendrix (6-4) shot 59.3 percent (16-of-27) from the field after halftime, including 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from deep, and 42.9 percent (24-of-56) for the game. The Warriors were 76.2 percent (16-of-21) from the stripe.
Hendrix outrebounded the Comets 39-26, including 13-4 on the offensive glass, leading to 10 second chance points. The Warriors also held edges in bench points (35-13) and points in the paint (24-16).
Hendrix travels to Ozarks (Ark.) on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. CT.
