Madi Pierce recorded her first-career double-double Saturday with 11 points and a career-high 10 rebounds, but Oglethorpe (Ga.), ranked seventh in the latest D3Hoops.com Top 10, came away with a 72-43Â victory in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play inside Grove Gymnasium in the second matchup between the teams in less than 24 hours.
Sarah Plemmons scored 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting for the Stormy Petrels. Savannah LeGate added nine points. Wylie Sheridan grabbed 10 rebounds.
Oglethorpe (6-0, 6-0 SAA) shot 49.2Â percent (30-of-61) overall but just 20 percent (3-of-15) from 3-point range and 9-of-18 from the free throw line.
Kennedi Burns tallied season-high 15 points for the Warriors.
Kessie Jenkins pulled down six rebounds.
Pierce was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
Hendrix (0-6, 0-6Â SAA) finished 12-of-18 from the charity stripe.
The Warriors travel to Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) on Feb. 13. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. CT.
