CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix tied Rhodes (Tenn.) 2-2 after two overtimes Saturday in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action at Warrior Soccer Field. The Warriors ended a four-game losing streak to the Lynx and six-game skid in league play.
Nic DiMauro (2) scored less than a minute into the second half with aid from Jack Lippe to give Rhodes (2-2-1, 2-2-1 SAA) a 1-0 edge. An Ian Schiller (1) successful penalty kick in the 71st minute made the score 2-0.
The Hendrix (0-5-1, 0-4-1 SAA) comeback began in the 86th minute when
Kristian Reed (1) beat Nathan Meglic, putting the ball in the bottom right corner of the net from 10 yards away following an assist from
Will Kelton. Kelton (1) tied the game with two minutes left in regulation after converting a penalty kick.
Evan Trimble finished with three shots to pace the Warriors, while Kelton and
Jack Nolen each had two.
Josh Neuman (0-2-1) made five saves in 110 minutes between the pipes for the Orange and Black.
DiMauro and Rob Morris each had four shots.
Meglic (2-2-1) came up with three saves in 110 minutes in net.
Hendrix concludes its regular season April 9 when the Warriors host Centre (Ky.) at 8 p.m. CT.
