CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix has unveiled its 14-game regular-season slate for the 2021 campaign, with six of the first 10 coming at Warrior Soccer Field. The Warriors take part in three tournaments to begin September.

Before kicking off the regular season, the Warriors host two exhibitions to close the month of August. Matt Kern's club welcomes NJCAA member National Park (Ark.) on Aug. 27 and NCCAA foe Ecclesia (Ark.) on Aug. 30. Each game begins at 7 p.m. CT. The Nighthawks enter their first season of existence under the guidance of Kevin Tello, a former Hendrix assistant for two seasons (2018-19). The Warriors and Royals have met three times in the regular season during the Kern era, with the Warriors undefeated in the series having outscored Ecclesia a combined 17-1.

The Orange and Black open their regular season hosting the Hendrix Invitational at Warrior Soccer Field. The Warriors battle Centenary (La.) on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. and UT Dallas (Texas) on Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. Hendrix is 3-3-1 all-time against the Gents. The Comets make their first-ever trip to Conway.

Hendrix takes part in the Austin (Texas) Tournament with two games in a three-day span at Dr. Jack R. Pierce Memorial Soccer Complex. The Warriors take on Sul Ros State (Texas) on Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. and the host 'Roos on Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. Hendrix faces the Lobos and makes its first trip to Austin in program history.

The Warriors welcome Ozarks (Ark.) to Warrior Soccer Field for the first game of the Greg Volgas Memorial Tournament, hosted by Rhodes (Tenn.), on Sept. 17. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. The last two contests between Kern's unit and Eagles have each been decided by just one goal. Hendrix concludes the tournament against North Central (Ill.) on Sept. 19 at Rhodes Soccer Field at noon.

For the sixth-consecutive season, including second-straight on the road, Hendrix opens Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play at reigning league champion Birmingham-Southern (Ala.) on Sept. 25 at 3 p.m., the first of seven-consecutive league games.

Hendrix returns to Warrior Soccer Field for three-straight home matches to start October, beginning with Millsaps (Miss.) on Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. Three of the last four contests against the Majors have been one-goal decisions. Hendrix entertains Oglethorpe (Ga.) on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and defending SAA Tournament champion Berry (Ga.) on Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. The Warriors defeated the Vikings, 2-1, in their last matchup in Conway in 2019.

Kern's squad concludes the regular season with five road games in a row. The Warriors travel to Sewanee (Tenn.) on Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. kickoff looking to win for the third time in five tries at Puett Field. Hendrix treks to Centre (Ky.) on Oct. 17 before concluding conference play at Rhodes (Tenn.) on Oct. 22, with each game to begin at at 2 p.m. Against the Lynx last season, the Warriors erased a two-goal deficit with a pair of scores in the final five minutes of regulation to force a draw after two overtimes.

Hendrix concludes the regular season Oct. 26 with a return trip to Ozarks. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

All Hendrix games at Warrior Soccer Field are televised online via the Warrior Sports Network.

Hendrix, entering its sixth season with Kern at the helm, returns 10 starters from a season ago.

A capacity announcement for Warrior Soccer Field will be announced on a later date. Hendrix and the SAA continue to monitor public health guidance and rely on experts from the CDC and Arkansas Department of Health.
