CONWAY, Ark. - Another day of 90 degree heat did not slow down the Warriors on their second day of preseason practice, as Hendrix worked a crisp, quick tempo session Friday at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

The Orange and Black worked on every phrase of the game during the two-hour, 20-minute practice. Afterward, head coach Buck Buchanan said he liked the overall effort and commitment displayed throughout the roster.

Every aspect of the Friday session appeared a step quicker and more efficient than the Thursday practice. The players were attentive during circuits of individual instruction early in the practice, then continued to show the same focus and interest through team drills that capped the session.

The squad will stage its third preseason practice but first in helmets and shoulder pads Saturday at 8:25 a.m. CT. The team's first session in full gear is scheduled Aug. 16.
