Jacob Wood set career highs is completions (23), attempts (42), passing yards (272), passing touchdowns (3) and tied a career-high in rushes (17). His 42 attempts were the 10th most in a game in program history. Wood's 59 plays of total offense were a career-high and tied for fourth most in program history. White leads the SAA and ranks seventh nationally in all purpose yards, while Childress is second in the league and 49th in the country.

Childress leads the SAA and ranks 38th nationally in receiving touchdowns. He also leads the conference and is seventh in the country in receiving yards per game, leads the SAA and ranks 16th nationally in scoring and ranks second in the SAA and 10th in Division III in receptions per game.
Wood leads the SAA and ranks 19th nationally in total offense, ranks second in the SAA and 29th nationally in completions per game, second in the league and 42nd in the country in passing yards per game and second in the SAA and 14th nationally in points responsible for per game.
Jacob Bremmon is second in the SAA and 20th nationally in solo tackles, while Mitchell Johnson is fourth in the league and 47th in the country.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 42-26 win at McMurry (Texas) on Sept. 11 in American Southwest Conference (ASC) action. Tauren Bradley led Howard Payne with 136 yards on 24 carries. Stephen Willis followed with 64 yards on 10 carries. Landon McKinney was 12-of-24 passing for 309 yards, four TDs and one interception. Jake Parker had five receptions for 170 yards and one touchdown. The Yellow Jackets limited the War Hawks to just 81 rushing yards but allowed 380 yards through the air.
