CONWAY, Ark. - Ozarks (Ark.) defeated Hendrix, 1-0, on Friday at Warrior Soccer Field in the first game of the Greg Volgas Memorial Tournament, sponsored by Rhodes (Tenn.). The Eagles defeated the Warriors for the third-straight time by one goal.

"Friday was the most disappointing result of the season," Hendrix head coach Matt Kern said. "It took us 20 minutes to adjust to the speed of the game, and we simply made too many poor decisions in the defensive third of the field. We must do a better job with movement and passing in the final third and tuck away our chances."

Lorfils Milord (1) scored the lone goal in the fifth minute when his header found the back of the net following a Daniel Lyon cross into the box.

Milford and Charleus Ritch each had three shots. Ritch had three on goal, while Milford netted two.

Caleb Anderson (2-0) went the distance between the pipes and recorded four saves for Ozarks (3-1).

Will Kelton and Jake Nelson each had four shots for Hendrix (1-3-1). Two of Kelton's were on frame.

James Leone (1-2) played 90 minutes in goal and made seven stops for the Warriors.

Hendrix held edges in shots (13-12) and corner kicks (4-1).

The Warriors conclude the tournament Sunday against North Central (Ill.) on the campus of Rhodes. Kickoff is set for noon CT.
