The Warriors are coming off a 1-0 loss at home to Huntingdon (Ala.) on Sept. 18. Hendrix surrendered an own goal in the 71st minute. Skylar Baker and Mary Helen VanHoy each ended five shots. The total marked a career-high for Baker and season-high for VanHoy. Kaitlyn Gilkey and Brianna Willis had three shots, including two shots on goal, apiece. In the first start of her career in net, Mackenzie Smith went the distance and made five saves. The Warriors outshot the Hawks 22-9, including 8-6 on frame.
ABOUT BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN
The Panthers are coming off a 3-3 tie after double overtime at home against Covenant (Ga.) on Wednesday. Abby Walker scored two goals, and Sophie Smith had one. Amber Thompson had an assist. Ardis Haskell's 15 saves tied for fifth all-time in a single game in program history. The Panthers were outshot, 33-11.Â
