SHERMAN, Texas - Hendrix opened up the 2022-23 regular season on the road in Sherman, Texas versus the Austin 'Roos.

The Warriors shot an impressive 29-57 (50.9%) from the field but were hamstrung by 26 turnovers, with the 'Roos registering 36 points off of those turnovers.

Hendrix outscored Austin in the second half 38-35, but it was not enough to overcome a 17-point halftime deficit.

Craig Collier II led the Warriors in scoring with 13 points, while Tyler Deithloff recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 boards.

Freshman Colten Berry added 10 boards in his Warrior debut.

Jackson Parks registered 9 points and 4 assists.

The Warriors will take part in an exhibition match against the University of Central Arkansas on Friday, Nov. 11 before heading to Clarksville, Ark. for a regular season matchup versus the Ozarks Eagles.
