Conway, Ark.- The Warriors hosted Crowley's Ridge for their third straight home game on the season. The Orange and Black were looking to bounce back from a tough overtime defeat against Southwestern on Sunday afternoon.
The Warriors started the night making the first bucket of the game and then Crowley Ridge came battling back and took a 9-2 lead. The Orange and Black would then tie the game up at before the Pioneers would end the first with the lead 17-11. At the half Crowley Ridge was leading the Warriors 32-26 with Kennedi Burns lead all scores with 16 points.
To open the second half the Warriors would open with a 6-0 run to tie the game. The Pioneer's would battle back and pressure the Orange and Black in the third quarter. The Warriors would keep battling with the Pioneers but towards the end of the quarter Crowley's Ridge would go on a run to take the lead 47-38 to end the quarter.
In the fourth quarter the Warriors were out scored 23-22 but the Pioneers lead going into the fourth was to much for the Orange and Black to overcome. Dropping the game 70-60.
Kennedi Burns would set a season and career high in points with 34 points shooting 11-12 from the field.
The Warriors will be on the road tomorrow night with an exhibition with Arkansas State on ESPN+ and then travel to Centenary this Saturday.Â
