Megan Gray dropped 4 three-pointers as the Warriors held on to defeat Ozarks 65-57 on Friday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium.
Bella Cates got the party started with a long ball of her own, before a 12-5 run from Ozarks to open the first quarter. Hendrix would battle back, and
Simone Shields' layup gave the Warriors a 21-18 lead to end the quarter.
A Heaven Hayden jumper brought the Eagles within two with 1:33 remaining in the half, but two
Megan Gray long balls sent the Orange and Black into halftime with a 36-28 lead.
Ozarks scored the first four points of the second half to trim the Warrior lead to four, before Gray and Pierce dropped back-to-back three-pointers to give Hendrix a 10 point lead, its largest of the afternoon. The Warriors would keep Ozarks at bay to see the game out and grab their third win of the season.
Blysse Harmon finished with 10 points and 5 boards. Shields was dominant on the glass as well, totaling 6 rebounds to go along with 8 points.

Chloe Grimm made her Warrior basketball debut on Friday. The freshman wreaked havoc all afternoon on the defensive end, and notched her first points as a Warrior by going 2-2 from the stripe.
Hendrix shot 31.6% from the field but were 10-24 (41.7%) from behind the arc.
The Warriors will begin conference play next week on the road versus the Rhodes Lynx. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM CT at Mallory Gymnasium.
