ATLANTA - Oglethorpe (Ga.) defeated Hendrix, 44-35, on Friday in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) action inside Dorough Field House. The 44 points is the fewest allowed by the Orange and Black since a 57-43 win over Agnes Scott (Ga.) on Dec. 2, 2017.
The Stormy Petrels and Warriors combined for 42 turnovers, and neither team shot above 26 percent for the game.
Sydni Donovan had a double-double for Oglethorpe (8-13, 4-5 SAA) with 11 points and as many rebounds. Maya Inman pulled down 10 boards.
Hendrix (7-12, 1-7 SAA) limited the Stormy Petrels to just 17.1 percent (6-of-35) from the floor and 9.1 percent (1-of-11) from deep after halftime. The Warriors forced 17 turnovers in the game, leading to 15 points, and held Oglethorpe to 25.8 percent (16-of-62) shooting overall and 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from 3. The Stormy Petrels shot just 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from the foul line.
Madi Pierce and
Alicia McCloria each scored nine points for the Warriors. Pierce attempted 25 shots, second most in a game in program history. McCloria canned three treys.

Maddie Pardeck each hauled in nine rebounds, as Hendrix won the battle of the boards 52-47, including 22-19 on the offensive glass. The nine rebounds were a career-high for Pardeck.
The Warriors travel to Berry (Ga.) on Feb. 6. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. CT.
