CONWAY, Ark. - This afternoon, the Warriors posted their first loss of the season against the UT Dallas Comets.
The Comets took the lead early in the match, scoring their first goal in the 14th minute. However, in the 26th minute, Josh Evans was able to put the Warriors on the board with an assist from Zack Roberts. In the 40th minute, the Comets put away another goal, going in with the lead at halftime. The final goal of the game was scored in the 71st minute by the Comets.
The Comets had the attacking advantage during the game and took 16 shots compared to the three shots from Jensen Pechar, Wyeth McKean, and Josh Evans. The game was also highly physical, with 23 total fouls called and seven yellow cards handed out between the two teams.
The Warriors will be back in Conway for their first home game of the season this Thursday at 7 pm CST against Sul Ross State. Live coverage will begin approximately 15 minutes before kick-off on the Warrior Sports Network.
