Conway, Ark. - The Hendrix Warriors defeated the Millsaps Majors 77-61 on Friday evening at Grove Gymnasium.
Caleb Squires exploded for a career-high 23 points as the Warriors went 17-32 from the field in a contest
Hendrix began the game with a 9-0 run and would lead by as many as 29 in the first half.
Millsaps outscored the Warriors 34-32 in the second half, but that would be purely academic as Hendrix went the majority of Friday's contest rarely threatened.
Colten Berry finished with a double-double, notching 14 points and 10 boards.
Tyler Deithloff ended the night in double figures with 11 points, and
Drew Mayo matched the career-high he set against Ozarks with 10 points.
A week after Hendrix shot a lights-out 44.8% from 3PT versus Centre, the Warriors were once again deadly with the long ball, going 6-17 from behind-the-arc. Four of those came from Squires, who shot an impressive 50% from range.
The Warriors outscored Millsaps 38-26 in the paint and registered 15 second-chance points.
Hendrix is back in action this Sunday versus the Birmingham-Southern Panthers. Tip-off is set for 3:00 PM CT from Grove Gymnasium.
