Baseball Announces 2023 Schedule

Conway, Ark. - Warriors' head coach RJ Thomas has announced the 2023 schedule for the Hendrix College baseball team. The schedule includes 40 games, 24 of which will be played at Warrior Field.

The Warriors open the season with a single game on the road at University of the Ozarks on Feb. 7 before returning home to host a three-game set against University of Dallas Feb. 11 and 12.

Feb. 14, the Orange and Black will return to Clarksville for another midweek bout with the University of the Ozarks Eagles. The Warriors will be back in action on Feb. 17. They will welcome Belhaven University and Millikin University for a weekend tournament. The tournament will begin with a doubleheader against Belhaven on Friday night followed by a single game on Sunday Feb. 19 against Millikin University.

The weekend of Feb. 25, the Warriors will square off against Washington University St. Louis in Conway for the first time since the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.

Mar. 4 and 5, the team will take on Oglethorpe University to open Southern Athletic Association play in Atlanta.

The next midweek game will feature the #21 East Texas Baptist University Tigers at Warrior Field on Tuesday Mar. 7.

The following weekend, the Warriors host a three-game series against SAA opponent the Sewanee Tigers in Conway on Mar. 10 and 11.

The Warriors begin spring break with their second of three away SAA series in Jackson, Mississippi at Millsaps Mar 18 and 19 before traveling south to Pensacola, Florida for the Studer's Blue Wahoo Challenge which will see the Warriors take on University of Wisconsin-Platteville on Tuesday Mar. 21, Grinnell College on Mar. 22, and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Mar. 23.

The Orange and Black returns home for a midweek game versus University of the Ozarks on Mar. 28. They will host Centre College the weekend of Apr. 1-2 in SAA action.

Apr. 4, University of the Ozarks returns to Conway for the Warriors final midweek game of the season.

Apr. 7-8, the Warriors will host Rhodes College for three games before making the trip to Mount Berry, Georgia the following weekend to take on the Berry Vikings Apr. 14-15th.

The last weekend of the regular season will see the Warriors host Birmingham-Southern College in Conway. The Warriors and Panthers battled it out in the semi-final of the 2022 SAA Conference Tournament.

The 2023 SAA tournament will take place over two weekends. The top four teams will host one of the bottom four teams at their respective locations for a best-of-three series Apr. 27-29. The Championship Series will be played May 6-7 at the highest remaining seed. This will be a double-elimination tournament among the four remaining teams.
