Danville, Ky. - Two days after picking up their first conference win versus Sewanee, the Hendrix Warriors were bested 77-48 by Centre at Alumni Gymnasium.

It was a 14-8 contest after one quarter of play, before a 24-13 run in the second quarter allowed the Colonels to take a commanding 38-21 lead into halftime.

Hendrix struggled to gain a foothold in the game as the Colonel offensive flurry continued into the second half.

Madi Pierce led all scorers with 12 points. Simone Shields and Megan Gray both scored in double-figures with 11 and 10 respectively.

The Warriors shot 26.5% from the field and were only 2-10 from behind the arc. 

Hendrix returns home to face the Millsaps Majors on Friday, January 13. Tip-off is set for 6:00 PM CT from Grove Gymnasium.
